Based on a true story, Hidden Figures (2016) tells the story of three brilliant, black women mathematicians who worked for NASA during the early 1960’s space race. Because of her aptitude for analytical geometry, Katherine is assigned to work in special all-male group. Despite not being allowed to use the bathrooms in her building or the coffee pot in her team, Katherine solves complex math equations earning the respect of her supervisor and contributing to the mission.
