Moonlight (2016) is coming-of-age drama told by exploring three life stages of the main character, Chiron. In his youth, the boy is beat up and abused for being gay. As a teen, Chiron has his first sexual encounter with his friend Kevin, but the next day, as part of a hazing, he’s beat by Kevin and others. Finally, as an adult, Chiron meets Kevin again and two men try to reconnect across a deep divide.
