This is Us (2016) is a TV show series that follows the lives of Jack and Rebecca Pearson, a white couple and their three children, Kate, Kevin, and Randall. Kate and Kevin are two of three triplets. The third triplet, a boy, was stillborn. While still at the hospital and grieving the death of their third child, a black baby born the same day as the triplets and abandoned, is brought into the nursery. The couple decides to adopt the boy. The story unfolds both in present day with all the children grown and in the past revealing telling moments in the siblings’ childhood.
